Day 2, Part I -- Salt Spring Island, BC

Hi everyone, Tofu here. Since Jemma narrated the first day, it's now my turn.

So the humans woke us up bright and early after a good night's rest at the hotel. I tried to sleep in until the last minute, but got woken and picked up (!!!) to eat my breakfast before heading out.

Jemma and I ate and then we drove to take the ferry from Victoria to Salt Spring Island. This was a smaller ferry and there was only one deck.

This is how I traveled all the way there:

This is how Jemma traveled:

Clearly, mom loves me more than her.

(Mom: Not true. Jemma likes laps, too, but she is also fine with being in a carrier. Tofu, on the other hand, refuses to settle down and will meow his head off if he's not allowed on my lap.)

Salt Spring Island is part of the Southern Gulf Islands on the east side of Vancouver Island. Did I confuse you yet?

It is a place of nature which is a nice change of scenery for once. Everywhere you look, there is green stuff.

There is an area lined with quaint little shops.

This is a very old looking small Sears store which mom desperately wanted to visit, but they had no time. It was going to be a busy day for them.

After they finished their business thing, the humans had brunch at a cool place called Tree House Cafe.

We didn't get to go in, but were told that it was really built like a tree house!

There are tree trunks and branches made to look like they hold the roof up.

Mom ordered the Tree House Breakfast.

Dad had the Forester's Breakfast.

They said it was good food.

Do you mean to say that you had EGGS and did not share with me?

(Mom: One of Tofu's favorite food is eggs. He goes bonkers for eggs.)

I was mad at them for being so selfish, so I decided it would be best if I sat by myself for a while to cool off.

(Mom: Who sleeps sitting up like that in a moving car?! He is clearly TOO relaxed. There is a reason why he is called "half dog" or cat-dog at our vet clinic, LOL, although that would be an insult to him.)

We were off to take ANOTHER ferry.

Meow,
Tofu
