I am going out of town

(yes, again) with mom for a business meeting and she doesn't think she will have time on the road to update. So I thought I'd do one right before leaving. I know I'm thoughtful.

It's bits and pieces of different topics, so I must apologize in advance.

Picture from our Alberta trip in June
I grew up with mom's little cousins, so I have a good relationship with them. I am always excited to see them again because I know I will be getting lots of love.

Since I was always surrounded by babies and kids, mom considers me to be well-socialized with them. It's a mutual benefit. In turn, they also learn how to behave around doggies (and kitties). We all know what issues can arise when kids are too rowdy around animals!

Chicken pour moi?
Mom made me a whole entire mixing bowl of ground up chicken meat, can you believe it?!

(Of course other stuff has to be added to make it balanced.)

Chicken has always been my favorite protein, but then I developed an allergy to it some years ago, after eating a lot of it in processed form. But lately, after experimenting with different alternative therapies to improve my liver, the vet suggested we try something for my food allergies as well. Since it has a good track record of helping with liver disease, mom thought it wouldn't hurt and the worst that can happen is that she flushes money down the toilet.

I have my paws crossed, but it seems like I'm able to eat chicken again. Mom tried a small batch on me and I came out okay, so she made a bigger batch this time.

Another Blood Test
I had my blood stolen for the third time in 3 months. I won't go into details to bore anyone, but as we expected of my new liver diet, my bile acids are even lower than last time.

All this makes mom very happy except for one thing:

Tofu somehow scratched his left eye and has to be coned again. Good thing dad had already planned on staying behind for this trip. He will look after silly Tofu.

See you when we get back, friends! I love being 5 lbs and able to go everywhere with mom.

Love,
Jemma
