Cat Litter

We use Yesterday's News in the cat litter box here in this household because of the almost dust-free and minimal tracking benefits. In terms of scooping, I definitely prefer clumping clay litter as it makes my life that much easier. However, it tracks too much and 2-3 years ago, I got tired of constantly sweeping and seeing Tofu breathe in the dust, so I permanently changed him over to paper pellets.

The issue with that is the cost. With a bigger kitty like Tofu, we go through litter like it's running water. So I wait for sales and then stock up, like yesterday. We cleared half the shelf at the store and I seriously contemplated buying the other 6 bags as well. The cashier must have thought I have many cats at home. Little does she know...

Over $80 spent on cat litter all in one go is quite a bit. He goes through one bag every 3 weeks. It's a good thing we love him SO darn much.
